A translator's site that earns trust at first sight.

Arabic Translations Belgium provides sworn translation and interpreting between Arabic, Dutch, English and Krio. The old site was too generic; the new one had to inspire trust and finally have a face of its own.

The brief

"A site that feels modern but also inspires trust and stays professional, in Arabic, Dutch and English."

The old site was too generic: nothing showed who is behind the business. The new one had to stay professional and inspire trust, but with a personality of its own.

My role

I did the design, the logo and the copy, and put the site live. I translated the English version myself; Arabic Translations Belgium did the Arabic translation themselves.

The decisions

  1. 01

    Antwerp in the picture

The opening photo is Antwerp city hall: local and official in one image, for a translator who works for courts and hospitals.

  2. 02

    Every language in the headline

The headline names all four languages, so a visitor sees at a glance whether they are in the right place.

  3. 03

    Proof before explanation

Experience, languages, capacity and turnaround sit as figures at the top, before the services.

  4. 04

    One clear next step

"Request a quote" is the only prominent button; the services are a quiet second choice.

The result

The new site brought in more clients and more reactions. And for the first time, the business had a website with personality.
