Privacy statement
Last updated: 19 October 2026
I'm Gabriel and I run SyncIT on my own. When you send me an idea, I receive some personal data from you. Below you can read which data, what I do with it and what I don't.
Who is responsible?
SyncIT, Schoten (Antwerp, Belgium), company number 1043.416.924. Questions about your data go to info@syncit.be.
Which data and why?
- The idea form: your name, your idea and your e-mail address or phone number. I only use them to reply and send you a proposal. The form arrives as an e-mail to me; the website itself stores nothing in a database.
- WhatsApp, e-mail or phone: whatever you send me yourself, to answer your question.
- If you become a client: your name, (business) address, VAT number and e-mail address, to prepare quotes and invoices and keep my accounts.
The legal basis is your own request and any agreement we make (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For invoices it is also my legal bookkeeping obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
How long do I keep it?
If no project follows, I delete your message no later than 12 months after our last contact. Invoices and the data on them are kept for as long as Belgian accounting and tax law requires.
Who do I share it with?
I never sell or rent your data and don't use it for advertising. It only reaches services I need to do my work:
- Hostinger, which hosts this website and my e-mail.
- WhatsApp (Meta), only if you contact me through WhatsApp yourself. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies there too.
- Umami, for anonymous visitor statistics (see below).
Cookies
This website only uses cookies that are technically necessary: a session cookie and a security cookie that protects the form against abuse. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. The fonts are served from this server, so your browser doesn't connect to Google for them. Like every web server, the hosting keeps technical log files (such as your IP address) to keep the site secure.
Visitor statistics
To see which pages are visited, I use Umami. Umami sets no cookies, does not follow you across other websites and stores no IP address or other data that could identify you. I only see totals, such as the number of visitors per page, the country, the type of device and which site you came from. That is why I don't ask for consent for this.
Your rights
You can always ask which data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object to it, or receive it in a usable file. E-mail info@syncit.be; I'll reply within a month.
If you're not happy with how I handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels.
Security
The website runs over an encrypted connection (https). Only I have access to the messages and client data.
Changes
If anything changes in how I handle data, I'll update this page. The date at the top shows the latest version.
